About us
Dusit Zoo was established on 1938. Initially it was under the responsibility of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration until 1953, Lieutenant General Bunyat Dhephasadin Na Ayudhya, then Minister of Interior, saw that Bangkok Metropolitan Administration was short of budget for improving Dusit Zoo and it had a lot of duties to take care of, so he proposed to the government to establish an organization for flexible management.
