HABITAT AND ECOLOGY Das (2010) describes this species as occurring in lowland and submontane forest and plantations, where it is associated with both dense undergrowth and rocky areas. It is a nocturnal, terrestrial, egg-laying species, feeding on vertebrates, mainly mammals.
This species occurs in a number of protected areas. There are no specific conservation measures in place for this species.
