It is body is long with flattened side. It has big scales, small head, rather high dorsal fin and small pectoral fin. Pelvic fin and anal fin are about the same size. Its body is brown-green in color. It likes to stay as a group of 10 -20 carps.
It likes to dwell in waterfalls and streams on the mountain. It is can be found in every part of Thailand, except in the north eastern part.
It eats insects, plants and fruits.
It is peaceful and likes to stay as group.
It`s body length is about 15 – 20 centimeters.
