Black-collared Starling (Gracupica nigricollis)

Interesting :

Is the bird in the myna family. The male and the female have the same characteristics. Feathers on its back and the wings are dark grey with the white stripes. The head, the chest, and the lower part are white. The neck area has the big black stripe but the bird that does not fully grow up will not have this black stripe.

Habitat :

Can be found in Asia near India, Myanmar, Lao, Cambodia, and the South of China. In Thailand, it can be found in every region except in the lower part of the South.

Food :

The food is the plant seed, insect, and small reptiles.

Behavior :

Stays together in a troop in the field near the village and the agricultural area. It walks to find for the food on the ground. When it is frightened or is irritated, it will fly and cry. It sometimes cries together in a troop which is very noisy.

Reproductive :
