It is a medium size dog and similar to local Thai dog. Its cover is yellow-brown in color. It has light marking line on shoulder, which is look like saddle. Its ears are big. Its tail is short but fluffy with brown color. It has strong smell.
It is found in Nepal, Assam, and Myanmar. In Thailand, it is mostly found in Northeastern part.
It eats small animals and carcasses as well as fruits.
It is a nocturnal. It makes a living during nighttime. During daytime, it resides in soil hollow. If it stays together, it may hunt for big animal such as deer. It makes a living alone or in couple, not in herd. Sometimes, it steals chicken from people. It is fierce when it is in cornered.
Leaet Concern
It is mature and ready for mating at the age of 2 years. Gestation period is about 2 months. One litter contains 4 - 5 young. It can live up to 12 years.
